21 Września 2017

World Kidney Day 2018 will take place on Thursday March 8.

We would like to thank you for the tremendous energy you generated around World Kidney Day 2017. Its success would not have been possible without your support. We hope to reach even more people and break records again in 2018!

WKD Campaign 2018

We are delighted to announce that “Kidneys & Women’s Health – Include, Value, Empower” is the theme for the 2018 World Kidney Day campaign.

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) affects approximately 195 million women worldwide and it is currently the 8th leading cause of death in women, causing 600,000 female deaths each year. In 2018, World Kidney Day and International Women’s Day will be marked on the same day, offering the opportunity to highlight the importance of women’s health and particularly their kidney health.

On what will be its 13th anniversary, let’s join forces again to promote affordable and equitable access to health education, care and prevention for all women and girls globally.
